Foster meds, one round at a time.

For foster homes that get a medication schedule from the rescue.

Pet Med Reminder is an app for iPhone and iPad. It puts every dose that is due at the same time into one round, with one reminder and one tap.

The Pet Med Reminder Today screen. The 7:00 PM round for two foster kittens, Fig and Olive, shows Clavamox, 0.5 mL each, and each row reads Day 9 of 14.

How it works

  1. Add each animal. A name and dog or cat is enough.
  2. Add each line of the rescue’s schedule: the item, how much, how often, and for how many days.
  3. At each round, tap Mark all given. If one kitten did not take a dose, mark that dose by itself.
  4. If you miss a day, Today shows what you did not log, and one sheet settles it.
  5. When the foster ends, export the history as a PDF for the rescue.

For foster coordinators

If you send medication schedules to your fosters, you can forward this page. The app is free and needs no account. Each foster’s records are stored on their own iPhone and in their own iCloud. The app sends anonymous usage data, and the privacy policy lists all of it. I make the app in Pittsburgh, and questions from a rescue come straight to me.

Not on an iPhone?

The app is iPhone and iPad only. A paper log works too: write down each dose as you give it.
